Privacy Policy

About this policy

Caprock Brick (“Caprock,” “we,” “us”) provides this notice for caprockbrick.com, BuildBrief subscriptions, website inquiries, and BuildView. Separate notices may apply to employment or credit applications.

Information we collect and use

When you contact us, subscribe, or request project support, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, inquiry topic, message, and subscription preferences. We use it to respond, provide requested support, administer subscriptions, and maintain our customer relationships. Newsletter signup does not itself request a sales consultation.

BuildView processes uploaded exterior photos, selected materials, and rendering instructions to create requested concepts. Avoid including people, license plates, or unnecessary personal details in uploads.

Our website and embedded services may collect technical and usage information, including IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral links, campaign parameters, and email interactions. We use this information to operate and protect the services and understand engagement.

Service providers and disclosures

Service providers help us host and maintain the website, manage forms and customer records, deliver email, measure use, protect the services, and process images. These include GoDaddy for website hosting, HubSpot for forms and email services, Google services used on the website and signup form, and OpenAI for BuildView image processing. Providers process information needed for their services under applicable terms and privacy practices.

We may disclose information where required by law or to address fraud, security, or the protection of rights. Caprock Brick does not sell or rent personal information and does not share personal information with third parties for targeted advertising.

BuildView photos and concepts

BuildView sends photos, material references, and rendering instructions to OpenAI to generate the requested concept. Photos and results are temporarily stored for processing and delivery. Uploads are not added to Caprock’s public gallery or WordPress Media Library. The application is designed to clean up temporary job files, but this is not a promise of immediate deletion from all systems, backups, or service providers. Provider processing and retention may differ from Caprock’s application storage. See OpenAI’s API data controls for its published practices. Contact us with questions or deletion requests concerning a photo or concept.

Cookies, embedded services, and email choices

Our website uses a Google tag, and the signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA. The website and embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies for functionality, security, and measurement. You can manage cookies through your browser; restricting them may affect features. External websites and embedded services have their own privacy notices.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe or preference links in those messages, or contact info@caprockbrick.com for help. We retain the minimum suppression information needed to honor opt-outs and help prevent accidental re-enrollment. Unsubscribing and requesting deletion are separate choices. An unsubscribe does not prevent replies to inquiries or other non-marketing communications you request.

Retention and deletion

Our retention procedure calls for quarterly review of inquiries and prospect records inactive for 24 months, with deletion when there is no continuing purpose or applicable retention requirement. This is a review threshold, not an automatic deletion deadline. Newsletter engagement is reviewed separately. Customer, transaction, and warranty records are not subject to this blanket rule.

For verified deletion requests, we check relevant active systems, including HubSpot, website submissions, email and files, and BuildView records. We explain any information retained for a documented business or legal requirement and restrict its use to that purpose. Backup copies may remain until the provider’s backup cycle expires. Our procedure requires completed deletions to be reapplied if a backup is restored. We do not promise a fixed deletion deadline for all backup or service-provider copies.

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Privacy requests

Contact info@caprockbrick.com, or write to Caprock Brick, 8708 County Rd 6820, Lubbock, TX, to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion. Reid Nichols is responsible for handling requests received through these channels.

We aim to acknowledge requests within three business days and complete them within 30 calendar days, subject to any shorter applicable deadline. We normally verify through the email address already associated with your record, requesting additional information only when necessary. We will explain our response and any applicable retention exception. We keep a restricted record of the request and outcome, limited to what is needed to document its handling.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have additional rights to obtain a copy of your information, opt out of certain processing, use an authorized agent, or appeal a decision. To ask for reconsideration, reply to our response or email info@caprockbrick.com with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We will review the request and respond as required by applicable law.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review the submission and take appropriate action.

Policy updates

We will update this notice when our practices change and show the updated effective date above. Where applicable law requires additional notice, we will provide it.
